On behalf of colleagues at Kenya Embassy in Tokyo, Kenyans in Japan and that of my family and me, I extend deepest condolences to Mama Idah Odinga, her family and relatives following the demise of The Rt Hon Raila Odinga, EGH, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya.
We join H.E Hon William Samoei Ruto, CGH., President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-In-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, as he leads our great nation to mourn our departed patriot and buffer of democracy.
The late Rt Hon Raila Odinga will be remembered for his decades of personal sacrifices to advance freedom and human dignity in our country.
The impact of his quest for liberty, justice, and leadership responsibility in delivering shared prosperity goes beyond Kenya. May these ideals inspire us to serve better in our respective roles in society.
