This morning, H.E. Ambassador David Kerich, together with Hon. FCPA John Mbadi Ng’ongo, EGH, Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, and Dr. Chris K. Kiptoo, CBS, Principal Secretary for the National Treasury, joined the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Washington, D.C. and the Kenyan Diaspora in the United States as well as in countries of accreditation in mourning the passing of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, EGH, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya. In their tribute, they honoured his extraordinary legacy of leadership, national service, and unwavering dedication to democracy, justice, and the advancement of the Kenyan people, noting that his contributions will forever remain a defining part of Kenya’s history. On behalf of the Staff of the Embassy and the Kenyan Diaspora, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H., President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, and the entire people of Kenya during this time of national mourning. May the soul of this great son of Africa rest in eternal peace.
