ENGINEERS BOARD OF KENYA MOURNS REGISTERED MECHANICAL ENGINEER
The Engineers Board of Kenya is deeply saddened by the demise of Former Prime Minister Rt. Hon (Eng.) Raila Odinga, PE, EGH. A Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer(PE), Kenya & Africa’s infrastructure development was a lifetime priority in his policy and politics. The Engineering fraternity has lost a great champion of infrastructure and engineering. He contributed heavily to reforming Kenya’s Roads Sector and engineering practice which led to establishment of Road Agencies in 2007 and Engineers Board of Kenya 2011when he served as Minister for Roads, Housing and Public Works (2003-2005) and Prime Minister (2008-2013). A Mentor and friend to many, our deepest sympathies and condolences to his beloved wife Mama Ida Odinga, family and friends on the departure of this global icon and engineer who will dearly be missed by the Engineering Fraternity.
