Statement by the High Commissioner on the Passing of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, EGH

On behalf of the High Commission and the Kenyan community in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, I join the people of Kenya, the African continent, and friends around the world in mourning the passing of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, EGH, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya.
We extend our deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga, the Odinga family, and to all those whose lives he touched through his decades of public service.
The Rt. Hon. Odinga will be remembered not only for his immense contribution to Kenya’s political and social development, but also for his significant role in promoting democracy and regional cooperation across Africa, earning respect on both the continental and international stage.
As we reflect on his life and service, we pray that the positive seeds he planted over the years will continue to flourish and inspire generations to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, the people of Kenya, and all who mourn his passing. May God grant his family comfort and strength during this difficult time.
