It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we mourn the passing of a leader whose public life embodied humility, integrity, and respect. To us in the Missions, his visits brought unmistakeable warmth, and his positive energy uplifted us and the citizens abroad alike. Just like he does back at home, Baba often lightened discussions with comical wit, leaving lasting impressions. He never shied away from reminding of our collective responsibility towards nation-building.
In his diplomatic engagements, he represented our nation with exceptional grace and insight. His interactions with leaders in our countries of representation were marked by mutual respect and genuine understanding. He possessed a deep grasp and understanding of complex issues and articulated his positions with calm confidence.
May the almighty give his family and the nation the strength to bear this unimaginable loss. May we find comfort in knowing that his legacy will endure for generations to come.
As we grieve his passing, we also celebrate the life of a true statesman whose life was dedicated to the nation and public service.
Rest well, Baba! We will miss you.
